Citizen Groups Endorsements in 2010

Political Participation by Arizona Citizen Group

The results of the 2009 "The Arizona We Want" survey clearly showed the public's frustration with Arizona's elected officials. As a way of getting involved with the political process, I found that many citizen groups have chosen to issue candidate endorsements.

With the number of citizen groups issuing candidate endorsements, several questions must be asked regarding the effectiveness of these endorsements in changing the Arizona political landscape.

Are these endorsements reflective of an interest to improve The State of Arizona?

Do endorsements really make a difference?

Is there a more effective way for these citizen groups to participate in Arizona politics?
